Teen Challenge
Teen Challenge (TC) is our newest area of influence. In December 2007 I, David, was appointed by the TC Board of Directors to serve as National Director for Lithuania. TC is an important life-changing ministry that has a tremendous success ratio in helping people with life controlling problems. 2008 marks the 50th anniversary of Teen Challenge; and to think that this all began with a preacher named David Wilkerson who was obedient to God’s voice to help some young teenagers who were on trial for murder in New York City.
Lithuania is blessed to have five centers. One of them is in Vilnius, two are in Kaunas, the at-risk prevention center is in Jonava, and the farm is located near Kedainiai. These centers house men and women and are for the most part self-sufficient. Using a combination of work therapy and support from churches, individuals, and other organizations, they have found ways of surviving. Of course, help is always welcome, particularly for further development. See the special project page for more information.
