What is a "monthly pledge budget?"
A monthly pledge budget is the amount of money missionaries are required to raise. Everyone needs an income and missionaries are no different. Missionaries also need money to carry out their work. Therefore we have two sides to our budget: personal and work. This budget is formulated and overseen by Assemblies of God World Missions. Work funds are accounted for to the penny on a quarterly basis. This is the most important budget. Unless there are people and churches who will stand with missionaries on a monthly basis missionaries simply cannot fulfill the call that God has placed on their lives. A "cash budget" is an additional budget that missionaries are required to raise which provides the needed funds for one-time expenses. Airfare to the field, rental and utility deposits, projects, and many other things are all part this budget. This budget is essential to the missionary family.
