About Us
Kandra and I are followers of Jesus committed to following the two commandments of Jesus: To love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves.
We are committed to Lithuania and to being Jesus' ambassadors. It is a very high calling to be entrusted with the responsibility of taking the gospel across cultures. It is not easy to leave family and friends and travel to a foreign culture where everything is different. We are not complaining at all. We just want you to know that we have counted the cost, and have answered the call in humility. This does not mean we are perfect; far from it. It is by the exceeding grace of God that we can accomplish anything. Some plant, some water, but it is God who gives the increase.
In light of this, we have some values upon which we base our life and ministry. The first one is a relationship with God. In the beginning, Adam and Eve enjoyed an intimate relationship with God. When Adam and Eve sinned by partaking of the forbidden fruit, their perfect fellowship with Him was broken. Jesus came to restore that relationship and to rescue us from our life of sin and death. He is our hero! We know that his coming had a purpose. His purpose was and is to seek and to save the lost. Our reason for being in Lithuania is to fulfill our part in his plan, and to show others that they may also have an intimate relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
The second value we have is that we love unconditionally....at least we try. Only Jesus has that perfected! We value life and people; we value real relationships and honesty. You see, that is what Jesus valued. He spent time with the masses, but he also spent time with the twelve, and even more time with Peter, James, and John. That is why we spend so much time and energy building relationships. Life change, discipleship, or spiritual formation occurs in the context of relationships.
We love God because he is worthy. We love people because God loves us.
