About David
I grew up in a pastor's home and moved around quite a bit as a result. When someone asks me, "Where are you from?" it turns into kind of a lengthy explanation. I usually summarize it this way: “I have moved around a lot but I am from Minnesota more than anywhere.”
Kandra is my gorgeous wife of 23 years. She is my best friend and my anchor in life. I value her highly and love her more today than the day I married her.
Of course I love my daughters and am so proud of them. I enjoy chatting with my girls on the telephone and via the computer. It really is amazing that we can communicate using VOIP telephones like Skype, or Lingo; even MSN Live Messenger is wonderful.
In 1990 I graduated from North Central University where I earned a B.S. in Cross Cultural Ministries. My M.A. is in Biblical literature from AGTS, 1997. Academics have played a significant role in the development of my life and ministry.
I have a few interests: computers, reading, coffee, traveling, music, etc. My computer really does take a beating because all of these things, with the exception of the coffee, can be done with the computer. Even then it is usually on table next to me. I would be into sports more if US sports were more widely available on television in Lithuania. Some things just are not worth staying up all night for.
I do have a special interest in the emerging/missional church movement. As someone who studied missions as an undergraduate and then became a missionary in an emerging democracy in Eastern Europe, there is a natural affinity for the subject.
